My approach to nutrition can vary, as I truly believe ”context is king” and different scenarios may require different protocols. Additionally, the metabolism is a complex mechanism which we are continuing to learn more about. With that being said, I focus on fueling with primarily whole food sources and emphasizing protein, healthy fats and fiber. While I definitely see, and have personally experienced, the value of tracking macros, I believe getting in touch with hunger and fullness cues is essential to a sustainable diet. The roll mindset plays in diet is often underestimate, but I always find it is an important topic. Most of us may logically know what might work to lose weight or put on muscle, but putting that into action then sticking to it is where challenges arise. I truly believe exercise is essential to a healthy body and mind. I also firmly believe it should enrich your quality of life, not diminish it. Finding a form of exercise that is enjoyable is critical to consistency. Benefits of consistent exercise include increased energy, mental clarity and improved body composition. Welcome! I am so happy you’re here! My name is Brianna Johnson, owner and head coach at Live Nourished Nutrition Coaching. I am so lucky to live in San Diego, CA with my amazing husband, Eric, and our crazy fun son, Dax!
Nutrition and exercise are my absolute passions. Unfortunately, that passion was at times obsession. I struggled for YEARS, more than half my life really, to create a relationship with food and exercise that allowed me to look how I wanted, feel energized, and was even remotely sustainable.
My goal is to help as many women as possible eliminate that period of time typically spent yo-yo and fad dieting trying to reach a certain body. I want to help YOU find an approach to eating and exercising that not only helps you look great, but has you feeling amazing, too.
